The death is reported of veteran Ghanaian actor Eddie Coffie. He kicked the bucket Friday dawn, friends and former working colleagues have confirmed.
Until his demise today, he was President of the Ghana Actors Guild, taking over from the ailing Nii Odoi Mensah.
Coffie has not been too well for sometime now, persons familiar with the situation say.
He became President of the Actors Guild in 2014.

It is now confirmed that Rev. Eddie Coffie the National President of the Ghana Actor' Guild has passed on. This happened at the Ridge Hospital ACCRA at the early hours of this morning.
We therefore would like to ask that we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially the wife and the children left behind even as we pray and ask the good Lord to console them at this trying moment.
It is rather unfortunate to loose him at this particular moment but God knows best.
God have mercy on us all.
