Strange Love Written Update on Thursday 25th August, 2016

THURSDAY ON STRANGE LOVE
UPDATE BY S.S.S
The episodes starts with Bua-ji presenting Khushi with her old bridal gown, proudly telling her that she can wear it at Payal and Akash’s wedding. Khushi is speechless (Bua-ji interprets this as love) and she tries to get out of it, using every trick she knows before joking that Bua-ji can wear it at her own wedding to Nanhe-ji.
Anjali massages Filthy!Shyam’s head at their poolside and mentions that Madhubala’s assistant wants to put a jump in their choreography for the Sangeet. When she says that she can’t do it, he picks her up and tells her will help her. They share a moment that would be romantic between any other couple
Later, a precariously placed suitcase almost falls on Anjali but !Shyam saves her. He scolds her for her carelessness. He stumbles across an idea when she says that her mind is always somewhere else these days and internally says that he wants Anjali to be careless so that no one will suspect when he makes a move.
The next morning, Bua-ji, Garima, and Payal make a list of what they’re going to buy each member of the Raizada family as part of the Shagun. They decide on silver pooja thaals for Anjali and a Lucknow style embroidered sari for Nani, but when they reach Arnav, Khushi protests that he doesn’t deserve a present.
Khushi is unimpressed when Bua-ji reminds her that he’s the elder son of the household and then distressed when Bua-ji asks her for suggestions of what to get him since she knows him best. Khushi suggests a fire extinguisher for when he sets fire to everything in anger, ranting about how he’s always angry.
Payal stops her, as is becoming her habit whenever Khushi bad-mouths Arnav..l
Bua-ji teases Payal, saying that she can’t hear a word against her jeth. Khushi argues that her sister will always remain her sister, and both she and Payal become emotional when Bua-ji reminds them that Payal is becoming a sister-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a part of another household.
The Raizada Brothers and the Gupta Sisters
Later, Akash paces the living room while Arnav works on his laptop and NK eats the world’s loudest chips, worrying about seeing Payal. Arnav throws NK glare after angry glare as Akash and NK discuss the seeing-each-other-at-midnight thing. Seeing that Akash is stressed out, NK offers him chocolate, but Akash continues pacing and says that he wants to see Payal.
Meanwhile, Khushi tries to cheer Payal up by telling her to think of only happy things - like how she will spend the rest of her life with Akash. When Payal blushes, Khushi asks her if she wants to meet with Akash at midnight.
Akash complains that his Daadi (Arnav’s Nani) and Bua-ji won’t let him see Payal before marriage (Arnav sighs, shakes his head, and rolls his eyes in the background). In a rare show of sense, NK suggests that Akash call Payal at midnight instead of seeing her but Akash decides to call immediately, saying that she might be asleep at midnight.
Bua-ji picks up on the first try and is greeted by silence as Akash cuts the call, and Arnav is reluctantly dragged into the farce.
NK: What happened, Akash?
Akash: Nothing … That … Bua-ji.
Arnav: So what, Akash?
Akash ends the call without saying anything when Garima answers on his second attempt. Now even NK is frustrated.
Call! Be a man!
Bua- ji picks up on the third try but Akash’s voice fails him again. His older brother comes to the rescue, taking the phone from him to ask Bua-ji if he can speak to Payal. Bua-ji happily greets Arnav and calls Payal to the phone but Khushi gets there first, snatching the phone away while asking who it is. Bua-ji says it’s Payal’s jeth-ji and Khushi quickly hands the phone to her sister, while in Shantivan, Arnav returns the phone to Akash.
Payal and Akash speak while Khushi looks on nervously, worried that her Laad Governor is speaking to her sister. Payal becomes emotional, again, when Akash mentions how close their wedding is, and hands the phone to Khushi before fleeing. Khushi, still thinking it’s Arnav on the other end, starts to scold him.
What did you say to Jiji? If you don’t know how to converse properly …
Akash interrupts to say that he only mentioned the wedding, so Khushi explains that Payal is a little sad before asking him to call on her mobile. Both NK and Arnav look up when Akash says that he’s calling Khushi’s mobile.
Arnav’s anger flares when NK steals the phone from Akash, eager to speak to Khushi. Akash and Payal look on helplessly as NK and Khushi become distracted, exchanging pleasantries and discussing their dance rehearsals.
Frustrated, Arnav takes the phone from NK.
A: Stop, Khushi. As far as I remember, you asked Akash to call on your mobile so he could speak to Payal, not so you can have this intelligent conversation with NK.
K: Look, we weren’t talking nonsense, we were discussing important matters. And if I’m speaking with Nanhe-ji, then what’s your problem?
A: My problem is that my brother is waiting to speak to Payal.
Finally, Akash and Payal talk while Arnav glares at NK, who is still eating the world’s loudest chips. Payal tries to explain why she’s upset and Khushi takes the phone off Payal mid-sentence to explain that her Jiji is emotional thinking of the wedding and leaving the family. Akash stares at the phone, surprised to suddenly be speaking to Khushi, but listens to her explanation. Khushi assures Akash that she will handle everything
Arnav retreats to the poolside after NK opens up a second packet of the world’s loudest chips. Akash tells NK that Payal was crying.
Meanwhile, Khushi reminds Payal that they’ll still be in the same city after her marriage before offering to bring an army (herself, Bua-ji and Happy-ji) if anyone in the Raizada house upsets her.
In Shantivan, NK and Akash follow Arnav to the poolside to make secret plans to see Payal. NK tells Arnav he can stay (warning him not to disturb them) before mixing up Hindi words while urging Akash to see Payal despite Bua-ji and Daadi’s objections.
Arnav rolls his eyes, sighs, and clenches his fist in annoyance in the background, but when Akash asks for his opinion, readily gives advice.
“Haan. Tumhe lagta hai toh tumhe definitely jaana chahiye.” [Yes. If you think so then you should definitely go.].
Akash asks Arnav to accompany him for moral support while he’s breaking the rules but Arnav refuses. NK tells him not to worry before outlining a plan - throw rocks at Payal’s window to attract her attention - but Arnav points out that Khushi and Payal share a room and Khushi will definitely come to the window first.
NK outlines another plan - use fireworks to lure everyone out of the house and then sneak inside to see Payal - but Arnav pokes holes in that too, sarcastically pointing out that Payal definitely wouldn’t come outside to investigate because she’s deaf.
Frustrated, NK asks Nannav if he’s only going to criticise or whether he has an idea, to which Arnav replies that Akash should simply say he wants to wish everyone a happy new year and see Payal too. NK calls the plan boring and unromantic but Arnav points out it’s practical and has little chance of failing. NK decides to ask Khushi-ji for help.
Arnav looks up when his Sanka Devi’s name is mentioned, gets upset at how close NK and Khushi already are, and decides to leave the poolside. As he’s leaving, he wishes Akash all the best, .
Meanwhile, Khushi remembers Arnav confidently telling her that she will, somehow, end up in front of him to ruin his new year and decides not to leave the house today. She mutters to her Devi Maiyaa, saying that she doesn’t want to see Arnav SIngh Raizada’s face at midnight while Bua-ji looks on in confusion. The phone rings as Khushi is reminding Bua-ji of Nanhe-ji’s NYE belief.
Khushi happily tells NK that she was just talking about him and teases Bua-ji about wanting to see him. NK assumes that she wants to see him at midnight and starts making plans.
,!Shyam jokes that Akash will have already made plans to see Payal. Shocked, Anjali points out that Akash is the good son of the family, obedient and well behaved. Akash stands silently between them as Shyam argues that rules are meant to be broken and everything is fair in love and war, and Anjali tries to dissuade him.
Later, NK tries to convince Nannav and Akash that he suddenly has jetlag.
It happens on the first day. It’s been four days since you arrived , objects Arnav, but NK continues his charade, inventing new words as he goes.
Arnav: “Parvat?”
Akash: (in undertone, to Arnav) “What’s a parvat?”
Arnav: (undertone, to Akash) “I don’t know.”
NK: “Tossing and turning, mate, tossing and turning. Kabhi yeh parvat, toh kabhi yeh parvat.” [Tossing and turning, mate, tossing and turning. Sometimes I face this way, sometimes I face that way.]
Akash and Arnav: (in unison) “Karvat!”
“Main Payal-ji ke milne kiske saath jaonga?” [Who will I go with to meet Payal-ji?]
Akash worries about the plans he’s made while Arnav refuses to make eye contact. Akash asks him to come along now that NK is sick, but Arnav refuses again. NK quickly tells Akash that he should cancel his plans, arguing that they can see each other at midnight next year when they’re married.
NK: “Everything will be fine. Rocking.”
Arnav: “Fine toh ab tum bhi lag rahe ho. Pandra second pehle jetlagged the.” [You look fine now too. You were jetlagged fifteen seconds ago.]
When Akash leaves, frustrated, Arnav notices NK’s satisfied smile.
Later that night, Khushi shows Payal the small mountain of jalebi she’s cooked, telling her that she’s afraid that Arnav’s prediction will come true. Payal sadly reminds Khushi that there’s no reason for
them to come here at midnight, betraying how much she wants Akash to visit, but Khushi is too busy complaining about her Laad Governor
!Shyam and Anjali decorate their poolside with fairylights and set up a candle-lit dinner to celebrate the new year. When alone, he cuts one of the wires and submerges it in the water.
