Kwabena Agyepong Escaped Attack

The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwabena Agyei Ayepong this afternoon escaped an attack by the party’s youth stationed at its Headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra as private security.

He had the hind windscreen of his black V8 Land cruiser smashed as he left the premises of the headquarters as a result of the raging confusion that has greeted the party in recent times.

Sources revealed that the General Secretary had gone to the headquarters of the party to remind other national executives that a planned Steering committee meeting scheduled for today could not come off because of an impending court injunction.

According to what ultimate1069.com gathered, he told other executives who had gathered for the meeting he could not be part of the said meeting as it meant breaching the courts orders and could be charged for contempt.

As he tried leaving, the party’s invisible forces allegedly tried pouncing but he managed to get onto his vehicle for his driver to speed off leading to the aggrieved youth smashing his windscreen in the process.

The leadership of the NPP is yet to officially comment on the latest development believed to be linked to the suspension of its National Chairman Paul Afoko last Friday.

Three members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have secured an interlocutory injunction from an Accra Human Rights court restraining the party from holding any executive meetings until the fate of beleaguered Chairman Paul Afoko is determined.

The injunction which has been served the party through its General Secretary , bars the party from holding a Steering Committee, National Executive Committee and National Council meetings until the case is heard on November 9, 2015.
